ABOUT THE WORLD YOUTH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION

BREIF HISTORY: The World Youth Empowerment Foundation was initiated in 1988 after a plenary session of Youth Members of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization- UNESCO held in Federal Government College Odogbolu, Ogun State Nigeria.

This session was scheduled to discuss challenges of Youths to positive social development and to design modules at which role models among peer groups can develop other role models. This session was initiated by Nze Bertram John the then President of the UNESCO Club in FGCO and Founder of WYEF.

On February 9, 2005 WYEF was formally certified as a Charity Non Profit Organization (NGO) with certificate number: CAC/IT/NO 18056
